Information Technology I/II

The Information Technology program is designed to provide the basic foundation, skills, and knowledge for computer networking, applications, and support.  Students will develop skills necessary for COMPTIA A+ and MTA exams, which are useful when pursuing a career in IT related fields and are evident of IT knowledge that employers seek.  First year students can expect to learn how to develop, support, and integrate computing systems, while second year students will focus on network planning, management, and technical support.  Students will gain hands-on experience throughout the course of the program involving computer system support, network setup, and maintenance.  Other opportunities include integrated training for Strata IT Fundamentals certification and Microsoft Networking Fundamentals certificiation.  Students will gain 2 credits per year upon successful completion of each course.
