TVA STEM Award TVA STEM grant

The Tippah Career and Technology Center received a TVA grant for OSHA training for the Law and Public Safety Program (LPS).  The grant was submitted by the LPS instructor, Mr. Bill McCain.  The funds will be used to teach LPS students along with other interested students from other programs.  The Tippah Career and Technology Center serves students form all five schools in both North and South Tippah School Districts. TCTC Grant

TCTC receives $1500 grant

 

The Tennessee Valley Authority, in partnership with Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., a TVA retiree organization, is awarding $1 million in grants to educators in public schools to develop science, technology, engineering, and math education projects across the Tennessee Valley.

 

The competitive STEM classroom grant program is operated in partnership with the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network, managed by the Battelle organization. The program received 458 grant applications this year, and 238 were selected for funding. This year, the program will support about 136,000 students across seven states with hands-on STEM activities.

Tippah Career and Technology Center (TCTC) was awarded $1500 to the Law and Public Safety Program for a virtual Fire Extinguisher Course that will OSHA certify students in the proper use of Fire Extinguishers.
