Information Technology I & II
Information Technology I covers the explanation of technology and computer hardware and software basics, peripheral devices, mobile technology and compatibility issues associated with computer hardware. In addition, it addresses technology topics, including functions, introduction to networking, security risks and prevention. Students should be prepared to take the CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification exam at the end of the course.

Information Technology II covers the basic concepts of network protocols, network operating systems, networking types, standards, and how data is encoded and transmitted. It addresses additional networking topics, including routing and switching hardware, telecommunication, and career options. This course is designed to help prepare students for the Microsoft Technology Associate: Networking Fundamentals Certification exam at the end of the course.
