Automotive Service Technician I & II

The Automotive Service Technician program is a two-year Automotive Service Technician program specializing in maintenance and light repair that prepares students for continuing education or employment in the auto service industry.  Upon successful completion of each course, the student earns 2 credits per year.

Admission Requirments  -  2 year program open to all students that have completed the 8th grade with a grade of C or higher in the last course taken in English and Math or Instructor approval.

Employment Potential  - The local area has two automobile dealerships, many independent repair facilities, tractor dealerships and small engine shops.

Cost of tuition and fees  -  Membership to SkillsUSA is recommended but not required.

Technical qualifications of the Instructional Staff  -  Mr. Colucci has 23 years experience in the automotive field and an AAS degree from Southwest Tennessee Community College.  He is an ASE Master Technician and Allison Transmission Certified Technician.

Overall goals of the program  -  Tippah Career & Technology Center desires to appropriately educate the children of the school district.  The Automotive Program provides a safe learning environment for students and desires to provide the best candidates for employment in the Automotive Industry.
